Puerto Rico is a territory of United States of America. Puerto Rico Island, many islets and keys form the territory Puerto Rico. It is located close to Caribbean, Virgin Islands and Dominic Republic.
There are not exact evidences giving information about the first inhabitations in Puerto Rico. However, it is predicted that people lived here even before centuries ago. After Christopher Columbus, Puerto Rico gained more importance. It was such an important area that different countries made Puerto Rico their colony. After being a Spanish colony, Puerto Rico became a colony of United States.
Puerto Rico is the land of islands and island. The main island is Puerto Rico itself and there are many other little and big islands. There are also many rivers and lakes.
