Central Park is one of the most famous public parks of the world. It is located in New York City, USA. Central Park was built in 1857 by architects Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux.

Central Park is a US National Historic Landmark. It is one of the most visited parks in the world. The Central Park Conservancy manages Central Park. Need for open space created such a place. As New York City grow more and more, people needed more space. In 19th century, a great area was left for park and Central Park was built. After building period, design works were made. The design of architects Olmsted and Vaux was applied to the recreation area. It was a project dominant with “green”. Soil was brought, trees and flowers were planted. Sculptures were replaced, playgrounds were built. With the foundation of Central Park Conservancy, Central Park experienced a more organized development.
