How to Play Need for Speed: Undercover
There are some different game modes. Career mode is the mode which the players drive in order to win series of races and unlock cars, and also after winning the races players get the chance to modify cars in the garage. Players can change almost every part of their cars; they can get new tires, have NOS systems, paint the car or have some new body kits. With the new engine parts, the cars will be better in the races. There are different types of races such as drift, drag, circuit and sprint. The great demand for the game led to the releases of new versions of NFS.

Need For Speed II
The second game of the NFS series was released on November 6, 1997. Need For Speed II could not meet the expectations of some players. NFS II included 8 race tracks and some new cars. Players could also drive trucks and buses in the game.

Need For Speed III: Hot Pursuit
Electronic Arts did not keep the fans waiting for a long time and released NFS III: Hot Pursuit in 1998. Police pursuits made the game more attractive. The term “hot pursuit” refers to the police chase in the races.

Need For Speed Porsche Unleashed
This version of this game includes only Porsche cars and there is detailed information about Porsche cars. Producers must have worked hard for this game because almost all the detail about Porsche cars is included.  The game is also known as Need For Speed: Porsche Unleashed 2000. The game also features single player and multiplayer modes. As the players win the races they get the chance to upgrade cars and unlock the races. Pc version of the game includes 14 tracks in different cities of Europe.

Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit 2
NFS Hot Pursuit 2 was released in 2002; it was similar to NFS 3. Player could play as the police. It approaches the race from a different view than usual NFS series because it included driving seat camera view for the first time in the series.

Need For Speed: Underground
Released in 2003, NFS Underground became a sell-out game. It is almost known as NFSU. Underground refers to the illegal street races. What ever you do, the cars are not damaged.

Need For Speed: Underground 2
NFSU was released in 2004. The soundtrack featured great songs that make the races more enjoyable such as “In My Head “by the Queens of the Stone Age and “The riders on the Storm” by the Doors featuring Snoop Dogg. It included Street X mode which allows you to race a car you choose by bumping the car. Players could get extra money by playing Street X mode.

Need For Speed: Most Wanted
Most wanted was released in 2005 and was also released for Playstation 2, Xbox 360 and also PSP. Need For Speed: Carbon was released in 2006.

Need For Speed: Prostreet
Released in 2007, and is the last version of NFS series that is available now. ProStreet has a new feature called “Wildtunnel” which is available in PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game. This new feature allows players have a better car in terms of performance and look. EA games announced the release of the next game. It will be called as Undercover and will be released on November 18, 2008. One more game is also being produced and may be called as Need For Speed XIII and it might be released one year after the release of Undercover.

How to Play Sims
In the beginning, you create a Sim who is a member of the Sims family. The aim of the game is to help the Sims, simulated people, to reach their personal goals. It wouldn’t be true to say that you control the characters entirely; sometimes they don’t like furniture you buy for them, they have their own personality. It is totally related to the real life; if one of the Sims is working he has to wake up early and rush to the work and kids have to go to school and prepare for the school. Like normal people Sims have to make money for a living, if they are not working they can check the newspaper advertisements and find job. Again, as in the normal life it is not that easy to find a good job. There can be interesting jobs such as being an astronaut or a gangster. When you improve the characters’ abilities they have more chance to find a good job. Help mode also gives you some necessary tips for you and it makes the game play easier. Characters have autonomy in a certain extent but it is you most of the time who direct the characters into activities such as cooking, reading or exercise. They have their own city, and world and language; Simlish. The characters help you understand what they mean by some movements.

Sims Expansion Packs
There are seven expansions for The Sims released so far such as; The Sims: Livin’ Large. It is the first expansion package; it includes some new characters and items. The second expansion package is the Sims: The House Party. In this version you can have parties, invite people to your parties and have fun. The Sims: Hot Date is the third expansion which was released in 2001. It gives the Sims the chance to travel. The Sims could travel for the first time. That feature was not included before this expansion pack. It is followed by the fourth pack, The Sims: Vacation. Sims can go on a vacation with the family members or some other Sims. They can head to the beach, forest or to the mountain. The Sims: Unleashed is the fifth pack for the Sims. This pack allows the Sims to have pets and take care of them. The sixth pack is the Sims: Superstar. It allows the Sims to become celebrities. The last pack is the Sims: Makin’ Magic. In this version the Sims can make magic and it makes the game more attractive for the players.

Sims 2
Sims II was released in 2004 with a lot more additions. The players can change the looks of the Sims and make the Sims marry each other. In the Sims II characters begin to grow up and die. Unlike the Sims, Sims II does not certain objectives, the game is open ended. The game is also has a 3-D feature. Sims II has been a great success too, selling one million in the first ten days of its release.

Sims 3
Fans of the Sims video game series have long been waiting for the new game. Finally, it was announced that The Sims III will be released on February 20, 2009.

GTA II
After the success of the first Grand Theft Auto series GTA2 was released in 1999 with a new story and with an unspecified setting called “Nowhere City” and unspecified time. As you are fulfilling your missions you need to ride and you can choose the music you like while you are driving. There are some alternative radio stations in the vehicles which gives you the option to choose from a hip-hop radio station to Rock’n Roll radio station.

GTA III
Two years later, GTA3 was released and it was a big success. It was the first Blockbuster game of the Grand Theft Auto Series.

GTA Vice City
In 2002, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City was released, setting in Vice City (Based on Miami, Florida) in 1986. GTA Vice City brought some new things for the players; the flying vehicles such as seaplanes and helicopters were first could be used in GTA Vice City. In Vice City, players take the role of a Mafia, Tommy Vercetti. Missions get more complicated as the new games come out and the game gets more entertaining. Themes of GTA Vice City are said to be borrowed from the Movie Scarface and the 1980’ TV series Miami Vice.

GTA San Andreas
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was released in October 2004. The story takes place in 1992 in San Andreas a city based on California and Nevada. It tells the story of a gang in California. The game was heavily criticized because the Hot Coffee Mode which contains some explicit sex scenes and the game was rated as an adult game, AO (Adults Only). Later on, Rockstar Games released edited M (Mature) version of the game for Microsoft Windows, Playstation 2 and Xbox.

GTA IV
Grand Theft Auto IV was released in April 29 2008 for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 simultaneously. The game takes place in Liberty City which reminds New York City. It is reported that 609.000 copies of GTA IV were sold in the first release day in UK. In the first week, GTA V sold nearly 6 million copies worldwide. The fans of the game have been waiting for the PC version, and it is going to come out very soon in November 18 in North America and in November 21 in Europe and there will be no difference in the game and also the players will be able to play it in multiplayer mode.

As there is a huge demand in the market for Rock Band, the producers have been working to make it better and better. Players start randomly with an undeveloped world and try to turn it into a mighty empire. At the beginning players create an economic and military infrastructure to support their quest for the next greatest technological achievements. There are always 163 fields in the first planet. Players can get other planets (up to 9) as well. In order to do this, players should develop their planets. There are five resources for development: metal, crystal, deuterium, energy and dark matter. In order to get this resources players need to mine or trade. As there are thousands of players who are online, players have the chance to set alliances and protect each other from the attacks and also to attack other planets. Players are also able to make free trades among the members of the alliances. Like most of the other browser games players can have some advantages over the other players by paying some money. This is called “purchased effects” in OGame. When you pay, you get Dark Matter, which lets you use purchased effects. Commander is another important thing in the game; you can have improved functionality and also an improved user interface. Players also have “Empire View” which gives the players chance to see the other players’ planets in detail such as: ships, resources, defenses and energy. Commander also lets players to have message filters, shortcuts, an improved galaxy view and improved commands which could help players to score better. “Officers” is another pay-to-play option in OGame. It gives players advantage in the game. There are four types of officers:

1. Fleet Admiral increases maximum fleet slot by 2.
2. Engineer reduces the losses of defensive structure during an attack by half and it also gives 10% more energy to the player.
3. Geologist, as clear by the name, increases metal mine crystal mine and deuterium synthesizer production.
4. Technocrat increases the espionage level which is very useful for the players.

OGame pay-to play options, especially “Officers” option was a debate for a long time among the players. Because players thought Ogame would not break the promise for not making a pay-to-play option. Nintendo Wii: Feel The Game!

Wii is released on 17 November 2006. The console would first be called as “Revolution” but later on the name was changed because it might be difficult to pronounce in some cultures and the current name “Wii” is easy to remember. Two “i” characters are meant to resemble to people standing side by side and represents people that get together. In 2006, Wii won its first award, Game Critics Award for Best of Show and Best of Hardware and then awards kept coming. Wii, was also chosen as one of the 20 most innovative products of the year by PC World magazine. Wii makes games more attractive such as the classical game Super Mario. The new game is called Super Paper Mario and it is a 3-D game, which promises more fun. Red Steel is another attractive arcade game designed for Nintendo Wii.

You can use the Wii remote as a gun or as a sword in the game. It looks that Wii is going to be an icon among the other video game consoles. It can also connect to the Internet and has Wi-Fi Connection (WFC) which is an online service provided by Nintendo in order to enable free internet play among the players. WFC service is totally free and it is said that it will remain free, but there will be some other services that the players will have to pay if they want to use.

Advance Wars: Day of Ruin, Animal Crossing: Wild World, Bomberman Land Touch, Final Fantasy III, Need For Speed : Pro Street, Ultimate Mortal Kombat, World Soccer Winning Eleven series and Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) are just some of the games that can be played through WFC service. Some of them are also downloadable through WFC. There is also an official internet site for Wii players. Nintendo provides parental controls in case of any unsuitable content for the children and it also blocks internet access when needed.

Nintendo keeps developing its game consoles but this one, Wii is probably the best of all among the other products of Nintendo and there will not be a need for a better Nintendo video game console for years and the sales seem to prove that. In the first half of 2007, Nintendo was sold more than Sony Play station 3 in United States and the demand for Nintendo Wii keeps growing day by day. It seems that other companies should work harder to beat Nintendo Wii’s success and develop the video game consoles further than we might imagine.

Are you addictive to video games?
In general no one accepts that s/he is addictive to video games, computer or internet. These are all parts of our modern lives, but this does not mean they all form our whole life! Accepting is the first step to solve this addiction problem. If you spend most of the day playing games, using computer and internet, if you do not have real friends or you are losing them, if your family complains about your behaviors, after spending many hours before computer does not disturb you but you have red eyes, headache you are addictive. Game or computer addictives can tell lie to continue playing, this activity becomes such an important part of them that they can not distinguish real life and the one in the games.

Things to do for Video Game Addiction
- Accept the addiction.

- Find other hobbies.

- Try to be more social.

- If you can not solve the problem by yourself, go to the psychologist.

- Do not follow every new game.

- Prefer outside sports rather than inside ones, this keeps you away from computer, games, internet etc.

- There is official news saying that non stop and excessive video game playing caused deaths, keep that in mind in order to realize the significance of the situation.

- Your friends or family can warn you while you are playing game, listen to their advices.

- Write and stick notes on your computer or PS remembering that you should play video games “moderately”.

- Try to figure out what you can do instead of playing game for such a long time, you will see how much time it consumes.

- Be away from screen during your essential needs, addictives even eat before screen in order not to lose time, whenever you have the chance keep yourself away from screen.

- If you notice getting away from it becoming harder and harder, watch the real serious situations, read the ideas of psychologists.

- Finally keep that in mind, you have reason, not them, do not be slave of game!

Travian is a browser game with thousand of players. You begin the game as a chief of a tiny village. Your aim is to grow quicker than the other players and have powerful soldiers and have control over the other players. In order to grow you need to develop your resource fields at first. There are four different types of resource fields in this game: wood, clay, iron and crop. While developing your resource fields you need to train soldiers and get ready for enemies. If you build a cranny you will save your resources from the enemy raiders.

Before starting, you need to choose among these tribes: Romans, Teutons and Gauls. Each tribe has different features in the game in terms of soldiers and buildings. All you need to do is to grow and defence your village against your enemies.

Certainly, it is very hard to do it with one village and limited resources but you can have your allies and grow faster by getting help and helping your allies as well. Besides you can buy gold to grow faster. How can you grow faster with gold? With 5 golds you can increase your production 25 % or you can have 10 % attack point and defence point.

The process may be so slow for you, if you say you get bored waiting, there is an alternative way; 3x speed server. In 3x speed server, as it can be understood from the name, the process is 3 times faster, so you can grow faster. After you grow enough, you can build up another village or take control of resource areas. If you do not want to fight you might trade your resources.

Travian serves 33 countries in their own language. People from all over the world have been playing this game; some of them even earn money. How do they do it? Four Saw films have been released by now. In the third film John Kramer, the Jigsaw, dies. After the death of the Jigsaw, fans did not expect a fourth film. But we have it and it is not ridiculous as people may think because the main character is dead. The fourth film begins with the autopsy of the Jigsaw, and the discovery of a cassette in Jigsaws’ stomach leaving a message for the detective saying that “the game has just begun” and that he has one more trap. The fourth film ends with what was in the beginning; we see the coexisting story along with the third movie. The fourth movie mainly focuses on the story of Jigsaw. It gives some clues of Jigsaw’s life and his reasons for killing. It enlightens some areas of Jigsaw’s life taking us back and letting us know about his marriage, wife and unborn child.

Two more SAW films
Two more films are scheduled. The fifth one will be released on October 24, 2008 in United States. But if you think that the story will end up with the 5th film, you are wrong. Because there is more of it; the 6th film is expected to be released on October 2009. Saw Producer Mark Burk says: “We bring in some new characters that you really get to know. We bring in some peripheral characters that play out in Saw VI”. By just considering what the producer said, we can clearly see that there will be a 6th film. The producer, Mark Burg, also talks about the traps and says “The traps in Saw V might be the most terrifying and disturbing traps that Saw fans have ever seen.”

In 2009, the producers will also release a video game of Saw. The videogame is based on the first film. Saw film series also have a Hollywood record for the most films to be released consecutively each year. Let us wait for the upcoming films and wish they will satisfy the expectations of fans.
