In other words, it is very vital for any developer team, to have a solid back-end testing platform, pushing new software to the maximum level of stress, to find any weak spots in potential mass usage of the application and the right way to do this, is performance optimization.
In my company case, we started out doing the testing as a running part of the strategic planning of new applications. We thought we had it all safe, but after some serious cases of loading time complains by end users, we had to sit down and review our actual capacity on this.
