Since 1990, American singer, songwriter and actress Mariah Carey has taken part in many projects. Carey’s multiple working fields made her famous all around the world. Now, she is one of the leading R&B singers and a popular actress.
Mariah Carey’s first singles became hit on the lists and she combined different genres in her albums; R&B, hip hop, power and pop music genres. Her first debut Album brought fame to Carey reaching number one.
Carey became known in the world scenes with Grammy Award winning. With her single “Vision of Love”, she was chosen as the best female pop vocal performer. In nearly eighteen years, she released eleven albums, chronologically these are: Mariah Carey, Emotions, Music Box, Merry Christmas, Daydream, Butterfly, Rainbow, Glitter, Charmbracelet, the Emancipation of Mimi, and her latest album E=MC².

Released on April, 2008, E=MC² is the eleventh album of Mariah Carey. The genre of the album is pop and R&B which is style of Carey. E=MC² album consists of fourteen songs, track list and lengths of the songs are:

Three singles were released from E=MC², “Touch My Body”, “Bye Bye” and “I’ll Be Loving U Long Time” are singles, especially “Touch My Body” received good reviews and it reached number one in the USA. Additionally, it reached number one on the lists in many countries and for weeks it stayed like that. This is the first sign of the coming success of E=MC². Two other singles were also great success, “Bye Bye” and “I’ll Be Loving U Long Time” was released as single after “Touch My Body” and they were also liked by lots of people all around the world.
The latest album of Mariah Carey has an interesting title, E=MC². It is a reference to Einstein’s mass- energy equivalence formula and it is said that E=MC² is the abbreviation form of Emancipation= Mariah Carey to the second power. Some critics argued whether the album E=MC² has common points with her previous album Emancipation of Mimi; however it is clear that every song of this new album has its own style and harmony. All songs of E=MC² were written by Mariah Carey or with the help of her, Carey is also one of the producers of the album.
