MUSIC: An English Rock Band: Oasis

Oasis is an English rock band established in 1991. The group focuses on rock and Britpop genres. Group members are Liam Gallagher, Noel Gallagher, Gem Archer, Andy Bell and Chris Sharrock. However, there are also other former members bringing band to today. They are Zak Starkey, Alan White, Paul McGuigan, Paul Arthurs and Tony McCarroll.
Band Oasis is known with its awards. They won many different awards up to now. They won Brit Awards for five times, Ivor Novello Awards for once, MTV Europe Music Awards for four times, MTV Video Music Awards Japan for once, NME Awards for thirteen times, Q Awards for eight times, Top of the Pop Awards for once and Vodafone Live Music Awards for once. In addition to these, they were candidates for many other awards.
Up to now, Oasis released six albums. The seventh one is on the way. It will be released in October. Their first album “Definitely True” brought fame and success to the band. After that they released the albums (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?, Be Here Now, Standing on the Shoulders of Giants, Heathen Chemistry and Don’t Believe the Truth. The Beatles effect on the band is very clear. The group members also accept this. However, their style is unique.
Upcoming Album of Oasis: Dig Out Your Soul
Album “Dig out Your Soul” will be the seventh album of Oasis. It will be released on October 2008. Before the album, single named “The Shock of The Lightning” is waited to be released. The other single is “I’m Outta Time”. Genre of the album is rock. The recording began on August 2007 and continued till March 2008. The album consists of these songs:

4. ”The Shock of the Lightning” – 5:02
5. ”I’m Outta Time” – 4:10

10. ”The Nature of Reality” – 3:48
11. ”Soldier On” – 4:49
The songs were written by Noel Gallagher, Liam Gallagher, Andy Bell and Gem Archer. Producer of the album “Dig out Your Soul” is Dave Sardy. The album will be released under the title of Big Brother Recordings.
Zak Starkey played drums, Andy bell played bass, keyboard, guitar and tambour. Gallagher brothers are vocals and Noel Gallagher also played electric guitar, keyboards, electronics and drums. Another group member Gem Archer played electric guitar, bass and keyboards for the album.
After release of the album a tour including USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Mexico and Europe is on the way. In different countries and cities Oasis band can be watched. In Montreal, Toronto, London, New York, Bodelva, Cologne, Liverpool, Sheffield, Birmingham, Bournemouth, Aberdeen, Glasgow, Mexico City, Guadalajara and Monterrey you can watch Oasis live. Fans and critics are waiting for the latest album of Oasis impatiently. It is a question whether they lead the same style with previous albums or they try some other genre and styles.
