Herbal Medical: HerbalismHerbalism is a medical practice which is based on the use of plants. It is also known as alternative medical or alternative medicine treatment. Herbalist medical practices have been used for long, long years. The first Chinese herb book dates back to 2700 B.C. It is estimated that 80 percent of the world’s population uses herbal medical treatments in some way. This shows that it is still very popular. Below, I have listed some of the most common herbs used in herbal medical.

Garlic: It is known as antibiotics of the nature, it may lower cholesterol level, help in ear and sinus infections and it may reduce blood sugar level.

Ginger: Ginger root may help to lower blood pressure, thinner the blood and lower cholesterol level.

Cranberry: It is helpful for urinary infections.

Green tea: It may prevent the growth of breast cancer cells, and it may heal scars faster.

Lemon grass: It can reduce cholesterol.

Apricot: It can be helpful in anemia, tuberculosis, asthma, bronchitis, and toxemia.

Ginseng: It slows the ageing process and gives the body a fresh sense. It is recommended for seasickness. It is used in the treatment of memory disorders and diabetes.

Aloe Vera: It has world-wide recognition. Asthma, virosis, arthritis, arthrosis, gingivitis, bronchitis, pharyngitis, intestinal inflammations, constipations, obesity, sprains and muscle strains can be fought with the help of this herb. It is also used for controlling the side effects of chemotherapy and radiation therapy, diabetes and hepatitis.

Parsley: Parsley contains more vitamin C than any other fruit, and it also contains provitamin A, vitamin B, vitamin E, vitamin K, beta-carotene, magnesium, phosphorus, iron, manganese, sodium, potassium, sulphur and calcium. It straightens the body and immune system.

Sesame: Sesame seed contains antioxidants. Sesame oil has laxative effects.

Oat: It contains vitamins B1, B2 and D, minerals, carbon hydrants, lecithin, nucleic acids and enzymes. Oat adjusts the level of glucose. It has laxative effect. It prevents cancer and lowers cholesterol.

Lavender: Lavender flower tea is recommended for fighting against headaches, anxiety states, rheumatism or distension. Lavender vinegar is used to treat colds and fever.

Even though these herbs have many benefits for our health, some of them may be risky for some people who have allergy tendencies and especially for pregnant women.
