Japan AirlinesJapan Airlines is an airline company located in Tokyo, Japan. It is also known as Jal as in its logo. The main airports of Jal are Narita, Tokyo, Kansai, and Osaka International Airports. It has domestic and external flights to many different destinations.

Jal is a corporation company and it has six other airlines. These serve only for domestic flights. They are J-Air, Jal Express, Hokkaido Air System, Japan Air Commuter and Ryukyu Air Commuter.


Establishment of Japan Airlines
Japan Airlines is not a current company. It was founded in 1951. Japan government supported its foundation. After devastating World War II, Japan government wanted an airline company of themselves.

Within three years, Jal has external flights. Every year, Japan Airlines enriched itself with new planes and different destinations to all over the world. After 1985, Jal was privatized totally. Now it was competition time. In domestic and external airline sector, it has many rivals.

In 2001, Japan Air System and Japan Airlines merged. The company was called Japan Airline System. Then the company was separated as domestic one and external one. Domestic one was called Japan Airlines Domestic. External one was called Japan Airlines International. However, these parts were emerged again under the name of Japan Airlines Corporation in 2004.

Fleet of Japan Airlines
With more than 200 planes, Japan Airlines has a great fleet. The models Airbus, Boeing, McDonnell Douglas, and Emraer are used. Various models of them are in the service. The company is planning to strengthen its fleet with new plane orders. There are more than 50 planes on the way.

Except from cargo transportation and charter flights, Japan Airlines has flight to Asia, Europe, North and South America, and Oceania. Main countries in this list include China, South Korea, Japan, India, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, France, Germany, Italy, Russia, UK, Canada, Mexico, USA, Australia, Brazil and many other destinations.
