In order to prevent this, use red eye reduction mode. If it is possible, do not use flash. Some places require light. However, try without flash and with it. Compare your photos. One the advantages of digital cameras are giving you the chance of comparing. For portrait photo, if the sun comes after the persona, use flash. Otherwise, the photo is dark and nothing is clear.

Printing is the last process of photo taking. You take digital photos, what should be size of these photos? If you can not find the suitable size, the photos do not give good results. There is an easy formula for this. Just divide photo resolution to 60, like 800/60=13, 600/60=10, your photo should be printed in 13X10 size.
