Delta Airlines was founded as Huff-Daland Dusters in 1924. After being purchased by C.E. Woolman, it was named as Delta Air Service. Year by year, company developed buying other airlines and making partnership agreements.
After year 2000, Delta experienced harsh times; bankruptcy was coming day by day. Precautions were taken, new flights were organized, and job, money cutting period began, however the company was in debt. Delta required a renewal, maybe reconstruction in order to overcome this period. The salaries were cut, new flights were held, and it signed agreements with some leading airlines. In 2007, Delta Airlines overcame the bankruptcy, and keep its position in the world arena.

Delta Airlines has a big fleet, it has more than 450 planes and new planes are expected to be ordered. The fleet planes are Boeing and McDonnell models. There are also planes that Delta does not use any longer; these models include Convair, Boeing, McDonnell, Airbus, and Lockheed. Operating more than 1500 daily flights to different destinations, Delta is one of the mostly used airline companies of the world.
