Emirates Airline is an airline company of which center is Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The main airport of Emirates Airline is Dubai International Airport. The only destination of the airline is not Dubai. However, it is the center point and Dubai is a tourism center. This makes Emirates Airline one of the most used airlines of the world.

It is a young airline founded in 1985. Despite that, Emirates Airline has a powerful position among other world companies. Being the largest airline of Middle East, Emirates Airline not only carries passenger but also cargo.


Establishment of Emirates Airline
Dubai government founded Emirates Airline in 1985. For the first years, there were flights only to near points. After two years, first European destinations were added to the list. Emirates Airline showed great development with at least % 20 profits every year.

Emirates Airline totally belongs to Dubai government. The company gives job opportunity to thousands of people. Being such a big and successful establishment, Emirates Airline received different awards. Two times Emirates Airline received the airline of the year award, in 2001 and 2002. In addition to these, in 2007, it was named as the ninth best airline of the year. Hygiene is very important for the service. In 2008, Emirates Airline received World Most Hygienic Airline title.

Fleet of Emirates Airline
Emirates Airlines has a moderate fleet. New orders are on the way. The company is developing itself. Emirates Airline has more than 120 planes. Airbus A330-200, A330-300, A340-300, A340-500, A350-900 XWB, A350-1000 XWB, A380 and Boeing 777-200, 777-200 ER, 777-200 LR, 777-300, 300 ER models form the fleet.

Main Destinations of Emirates Airline
Emirates Airline has flights to more than 50 countries and 90 destinations. This is only flights for passengers. In addition to that, Emirates SkyCargo has flights to different countries.

There are flights to six continents. The major countries that Emirates Airline has service are Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Egypt, Libya, Sudan, South Africa, Ghana, Nigeria, China, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Maldives, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Syria, United Arab Emirates, Austria, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Switzerland, Turkey, UK, Canada, USA, Australia, New Zealand, Brazil and others.

Emirates SkyCargo is a part of Emirates Airline. It is a growing branch of Emirates Airline. The fleet is small. However it has cargo service to four continents: Asia, Africa, Europe and North America.

  2. Emirates is a lovely airline, but it’s dependent on Dubai money for it’s success, if it had to stand on its own like the rest of the world, it would fail.
